Ok kids, be sure to mark July 22nd down on your calendar, because that’s the day that Jacksonville’s Black Kids will release their much-anticipated debut album Partie Traumatic. If you haven’t heard of these glam-rockin’ beasts yet, then you need to get with it sistah.
After splashing on the music scene at last year’s Athens Popfest (that’s Georgia, not Peloponnesia) and touring through the UK with the likes of Friendly Fires, Ipso Facto, and Sons and Daughters, the kids signed a deal with Columbia Records and recorded Partie Traumatic with Bernard Butler (of Suede).
If you like these jams, check out their myspace for even more goodness, and be sure to pick up the CD when it hits stores on the 22nd. They’re on a pretty extensive tour right now (unfortunately, no Austin dates mentioned so far), so catch ‘em if they’re in your neck of the woods.
